Why I'm Sharing This With You

My name is Vonnie White — most people know me as Coach V.

As a settlement and closing agent, TIPIC, and real estate professional, I have the privilege of sitting at the closing table with homeowners every day. And time and time again, I meet people — some who have lived in their homes for years — who never knew they were entitled to significant savings opportunities that could have been protecting their finances all along.

"I believe in serving people beyond the transaction. These resources are my gift to you as a new homeowner. You deserve to know what others don't always tell you."

Your Benefits. Your Rights.

Maryland Homeowners

Maryland Homestead Tax Credit

The Maryland Homestead Tax Credit limits how much your property tax assessment can increase each year — protecting you from sudden spikes in your tax bill as your home increases in value.

Once approved, your taxable assessment cannot increase by more than 10% per year — and in many counties even less. This can mean hundreds or even thousands of dollars saved every single year.

⚠️ Important: You must apply for this credit — it is not applied automatically. As a new homeowner you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. You only need to apply once for your primary residence and the savings continue year after year.

Maryland Veterans

Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption

If you are a veteran with a 100% service-connected permanent and total disability, you may qualify for a full exemption from Maryland property taxes on your primary residence.

This is one of the most powerful financial benefits available to qualifying veterans — and one of the most underutilized. Many veterans live in their homes for years without ever knowing this exemption exists.

🎖️ Who Qualifies: Maryland veterans rated at 100% service-connected permanent and total disability by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Surviving spouses of qualifying veterans may also be eligible.

The benefit: A complete exemption from property taxes on your primary residence — potentially saving thousands of dollars every year.
